The Studio is in a 2 year old residence on Lost Lake. Built with 10 foot ceilings in the lower level to provide a good site for acoustics. The lower level is a fully autonomous unit with Studio, Lounge, Wet Bar, Rest Room, Sitting Room and large outside deck. A perfect place to get away from things and concentrate on your craft.
I’m Richard Johnson owner and operator. Lifelong resident of Southern Wisconsin. I had the fortune to come into musical awareness around 1967. AM radio WLS out of Chicago was one of the only windows into the world of music in those days. Exposure to music and options were few when living in Southern Wisconsin. But the golden age of rock and pop music was in full gear and continued full blast through my formative years.
A guitar player from youth I’ve always loved Rock, Pop, Blues, Country, Classical and Jazz. Playing in and around Madison in venues like the High Noon, Taste of Madison and the Capital Brewery I can relate to the needs of an Artist and their performance environment.
After a career in information technology I’ve decided it’s time to pursue music full time. And want to go about it in the most professional manner as possible.
Rob Ryf is an experienced drummer and artistic partner in the Studio. A master of many styles and quick on the uptake he’s here to take care of what is often the most complicated facet of making music. Percussion.
